Up to fifteen (15%) percent of the Town’s yearly allocation may be made available for public service programs. Public services are programs that provide services for low and moderate income persons and special needs populations.
Examples include but are not limited to: child care; health care; services for elderly persons, homeless or disabled persons; recreational and educational programs; public safety services; job training; down payment assistance; fair housing services; or energy counseling and testing.
Programs must be new, have demonstrated a quantifiable increase in the level of service, or continuing a service that received CDBG assistance in the previous year. Participants are required to document compliance with regulations.
