The Town of Barnstable has upgraded its permitting system from View Permit to Permitting, Licensing, and Code Enforcement (PLC) by Open Gov.

For permits identified as "completed" in the new permit system please be advised
that "completed" is a term that is used by the software manufacturer and does
not necessarily mean that the project is signed-off. Please confirm that all
required inspections for "completed" permits have been performed and found to be
satisfactory.

Q: What happens to all my permits in the View Permit system?
A: All permits in View Permit will be migrated to the Open Gov – PLC system. You will have access to all your applications, inspections, and permits.
Q: How do I get access to all my permits from the View Permit system to the new Open Gov – PLC system?
A: You need to register for a new account, using your existing email address. You have the option to update your user profile once you have created a new account online.
Q: What if I already have an Open Gov account in another town?
A: If you already have an Open Gov account that you use in another town, you may use that account to access your Town of Barnstable permits.
