TOWN CEMETERIES
The Town of Barnstable maintains and operates fourteen (14) active and inactive cemeteries. Active cemeteries are those in which burial lots remain available for licensing assignment to residents of the town. Inactive cemeteries are those in which NO lots remain available for licensing assignment.
Active Cemeteries
Beechwood Cemetery, 1705 Falmouth Rd. Rte. 28
corner of Route 28 and Main Street, Centerville. 10.5 acres. This cemetery has single, double and triple graves lots as well as 2 urn cremation lots. An old Victorian style grave yard well treed and shady.
Crocker Park Cemetery, 19 Pine St. West Barnstable, 8.71 acres. This quant cemetery has double graves. This cemetery is a modern cemetery with modest up right monuments. This cemetery has double and triple graves lots available.
Cummaquid Cemetery, 1460 MARY DUNN RD. Barnstable Village 6.24 acres. This cemetery offers a unique atmosphere near the rail road tracks. It has a new area with single, double and triple graves lots as well as 2 urn cremation lots beyond a long stone wall.
Lothrop Hill Cemetery, 2801 MAIN ST./RTE 6A Barnstable. 4.5 acres. This very old cemetery has rolling hills of green that back up to the Rail Road tracks. There are double grave lots available here.
Marstons Mills Cemetery, 437 ROUTE 149 Marstons Mills. 5.75 acres. This quite small cemetery back up to conservation land close to Hamlin’s Pond and the only one with an antique Hearst house. There are double and four grave lot available here.
Mosswood Cemetery, 280 Putnam Avenue, Cotuit. 24acres
This is The Town of Barnstable’s largest cemetery. A large menorial park look. No upright monuments are allowed on the active area. This cemetery is characterized by sweeping green hill with ornamental trees that dot the scenic landscape, very peaceful. There are double grave lots available here as well as cremation burial lot and a Cremation Garden Columbarium.
Oak Neck Cemetery, 230 Oak Neck Road, Hyannis.5.5 acres
This modern cemetery has modest up right monuments and is our only active cemetery in Hyannis. This cemetery has single, double graves lots as well as 2 urn cremation lots.
Hillside Cemetery, Old Mill Road, Osterville. 11.87 acres
This old historic cemetery has many burials of the town’s forefathers. New North West expansion project complete and new burial lots for sale. No upright monument allowed.
Inactive (Ancient) Cemeteries
Centerville-Ancient Cemetery, 61 Phinney’s Lane, Centerville
.75 acres. This very old grave yard has burial from the American Revolutionary era.
Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Sea Street, Hyannis. 15 acres
This is another old Victoria style grave yard. Features a champion purple weeping Beech tree. Manny of the town’s forefathers are buried there. There are no active burial sites for sale.
Cobb Hill Cemetery, 0 Millway Road, Barnstable Village 1.41 acres. This very old and picturest grave yard has views of Barnstable Harbor. No burial sites available.
Hyannis-Ancient Cemetery, 509 South Street,Hyannis..83 acres
This cemetery is a very old grave yard in the heart of Hyannis, Many unmarked graves. No burial sites available.
Old West Barnstable Cemetery, Corner of Route 149 and 6A, West Barnstable. 5.01 acres. A historic grave yard with many of the forefathers’ of West Barnstable interred. No burial sites available.
Sandy Street Cemetery, 0 Main St.Route 6A, West Barnstable
.58 acres. Small old cemetery on Route 6A, also know as Crocker or Parish Line Cemetery. No burial sites available.
